The marketing initiatives and content that I create comes about as the result of a carefully considered process. If you choose to work with me - and I hope that you do, we’ll go through a series of steps together that ensure we’re collectively happy and ready to progress to the next stage as I work to deliver your project.

Be reassured that it’s a well-oiled machine that’s served clients well…

Step 1- Briefing form: The first thing I’ll ask you to do is to complete the Briefing Form, so that we capture the right information from the start. Your responses to the questions will help me to understand what you do, who your customers are, what you need, and ultimately what you want to achieve.

Step 2 - First meeting: Using the Briefing Form to guide us, we can then proceed to a face-to-face conversation, either in person or online. It’s an informal and open two-way process where we can get to know each other, ask questions, and confirm the scope of the project.

Step 3 - Quote: With a full understanding of what you need from the first meeting, I can then create a quote for you. By preference I charge on a project basis, so that you can see the full cost and timing up front; daily and hourly rates are available if you prefer though. The quote will be based on previous experience of similar projects to ensure accuracy and fairness. Once approved, I’ll send you an Engagement Email to confirm that I’ll be undertaking the project on your behalf.

Step 4 - Research: Armed with everything that we’ve detailed and discussed I’ll then start the research phase of the project to gather the information that I’ll need to work on the project. This could include desk research, email and telephone surveys, and customer visits, which will be discussed and agreed during the first meeting.

Step 5 - First draft: Working tightly to the brief and using relevant information from the research I’ll write the first draft. This will be supplied to you in Office365-based files for first consideration.

Step 6 - Review: Working from the first draft you’ll have the opportunity to make comments and suggestions for changes through two review rounds, i.e. a second draft will follow, followed by a third and final draft if further changes are required.

Step 7 - Final proofing: Once approved as a draft I’ll go through a rigorous final proofing stage to ensure that that the information provided is 100% accurate and ready for you to use.

Step 8 - Sign-off & invoicing: I’ll hand over the final completed work and ask for your written approval, usually by email. I’ll then issue the invoice via email, which is payable within 14 days.

Copyright of the work passes to you on full payment of the invoice.
